The Fashion Collective – An Exclusive Journey with Loubna Ayouche

Fashion, much like art, is a medium for storytelling, self-expression, and timeless beauty. Few designers embody this philosophy as seamlessly as Loubna Ayouche, the visionary founder of Loayo. Born in the vibrant city of Casablanca, Morocco, Loubna’s journey from painter and sculptor to sartorial pioneer has made her an artist who redefines the boundaries of fashion. In this exclusive Fashion Herald interview, we explore her inspirations, her brand, and her mission to merge art and fashion into timeless expressions of beauty and individuality.

Rooted in Art, Inspired by the World

Loubna’s roots in Morocco remain at the heart of her artistic journey. “The colors, architecture, and scents of Morocco have never left my imagination,” she reflects. Growing up surrounded by hand-crocheted embroidery, sewing, and traditional Moroccan garment-making, Loubna developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship and design.

Her upbringing ignited a passion for both art and fashion, leading her to unite these worlds through Loayo. “I grew up in an environment where creativity was part of everyday life. I’ve always wanted to stand out, to do things differently,” she says.

The Birth of Loayo: Wearable Art

As an accomplished artist and sculptor who has exhibited and sold her work internationally, Loubna took a bold leap by transforming her paintings into fashion. “Each piece begins with my original artwork, which I translate into fabric, bringing my painted visions to life,” she explains.

Loayo’s hallmark is exclusivity—one-of-a-kind creations crafted from custom, in-house fabrics. “These fabrics are created exclusively for my brand. They’re unavailable anywhere else,” she notes with pride. Each design is a true wearable work of art, marrying artistry and couture in perfect harmony.

Elegance in Every Stitch

Through Loayo, Loubna showcases a vision that blends elegance, beauty, and exclusivity with vibrant storytelling. “Every painting, every design is a celebration of fashion that has a positive influence on people,” she explains. “I want my creations to make people smile, feel happy, self-confident, bold, and special—walking into a fantasy of colors.”

Her designs transcend fleeting trends, instead offering timeless pieces grounded in quality and durability. “My fashion is timeless. Rather than following trends or seasons, I create enduring designs that never go out of style,” she says.

A Journey Through Cultures and Stories

Traveling the world for over three decades, Loubna’s work captures the essence of diverse cultures. “I continually draw inspiration from the vibrant colors, architecture, and scents of Morocco, blending them with the faces and stories of people I’ve encountered,” she shares.

This global tapestry informs her designs, creating pieces that celebrate femininity, elegance, and individuality. “My art reflects this blend, merging tradition with timeless beauty,” she adds.

Sustainability with Style

In an era of fast fashion, Loubna embraces a thoughtful approach. “Each piece embodies a sense of style, warmth, tradition, happiness, and self-confidence,” she explains. By prioritizing longevity, reducing waste, and minimizing environmental impact, Loayo contributes to a sustainable future.

“Fashion should respect both the people who create it and the environment,” she emphasizes. “Through quality craftsmanship and careful design, we honor the journey of sustainability while creating fashion that inspires joy and confidence.”

The Dream of Loayo

For Loubna Ayouche, Loayo is more than a fashion brand; it is a dream brought to life. “It is a celebration of art and fashion, an expression of individuality, and a journey through colors and stories,” she says.

In every piece, she weaves her heritage, her travels, and her vision, inviting wearers to step into a world where art meets fashion. “Loayo is about making people feel special, bold, and timeless. It’s about walking into a world where every creation is a story waiting to be told.”
