Swarovski Brings Its Dazzling ‘Masters of Light’ Exhibition to Los Angeles
Swarovski world tour of brilliance has officially landed in Hollywood. The Austrian luxury house’s traveling exhibition, “Masters of Light”, made its U.S. debut this week at the iconic Amoeba Music venue in Los Angeles — transforming the legendary space into a celebration of 130 years of artistry, craftsmanship, and cultural influence.

Curated by renowned fashion journalist Alexander Fury and presented under the creative direction of Swarovski’s Global Creative Director, Giovanna Engelbert, Masters of Light — Hollywood explores the brand’s enduring relationship with the entertainment world. It’s a love story between Swarovski and the screen — from Old Hollywood glamour to modern pop culture sparkle.
“We are delighted to bring the Masters of Light exhibition to Los Angeles as part of our 130 Years of Joy anniversary celebration,” said Swarovski CEO Alexis Nasard. “As the global epicenter of the music and film industry, this is the ideal setting to honor our connection to Hollywood and our role in its most iconic moments.”
And iconic it is. Among the showstoppers is the legendary gown worn by Marilyn Monroe when she serenaded President John F. Kennedy with “Happy Birthday,” shimmering under the lights just as it did six decades ago. The Pop Icons chamber pays tribute to Swarovski’s influence in music, with crystal-studded ensembles worn by Beyoncé, Madonna, Tina Turner, and Lady Gaga — a sparkling reminder that stage legends and Swarovski crystals are a match made in pop-culture heaven.
The Silver Screen Style section highlights decades of collaboration with Hollywood’s most celebrated costume designers, while Mathemagical showcases the intricate savoir-faire behind Swarovski’s crystal craftsmanship — featuring couture pieces created by Engelbert herself for the Met Gala.
But this isn’t just a walk through the past. Engelbert’s vision expands Swarovski’s narrative into the now, blending nostalgia with modern fantasy. Visitors will find crystal figurines that bridge generations — from Disney princesses to Marvel superheroes — alongside a limited-edition collaboration with Erewhon, offering exclusive products available only during the exhibition.
“Since I joined as Global Creative Director in 2020, my goal has been to spotlight Swarovski’s link with pop culture, fashion, stage, and screen,” Engelbert shared. “There is no better place than Hollywood to showcase these stories and the iconic pieces that have defined us for 130 years.”
Running through November 3, Masters of Light — Hollywood is more than an exhibition; it’s a radiant time capsule of glamour, innovation, and cultural legacy — reminding Los Angeles that when it comes to sparkle, no one does it quite like Swarovski.
