Mango Honours Isak Andic’s Legacy as the Brand Moves Confidently Into Its Next Chapter

One year after the passing of its founder Isak Andic, Mango pauses to reflect—without slowing its stride. The Catalan fashion house is commemorating the visionary entrepreneur’s legacy through a series of thoughtful initiatives across its global retail network and digital platforms, reaffirming the values that continue to shape the brand’s future.

Mango Company latest news

Andic, who tragically passed away on December 14, 2024, was born in Istanbul in 1953 and went on to build Mango into one of the most influential global fashion companies of its generation. To honour his memory, select flagship stores—from Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona and Serrano in Madrid to Oxford Street in London, Fifth Avenue in New York, and Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele—have unveiled window displays featuring his portrait alongside messages celebrating his enduring legacy. A black ribbon has also been added to Mango’s e-commerce platform, accompanied by a commemorative video shared internally and across social channels.

CEO and Executive Chairman Toni Ruiz marked the anniversary with a deeply personal letter addressed to Andic, distributed internally and shared publicly. Remembering him as “a brilliant entrepreneur and an exceptional person,” Ruiz wrote that not a single day has passed without the team thinking of the founder. “Mango continues to sail steadily towards new horizons,” he stated, reinforcing that the principles Andic instilled remain central to the company’s direction.

The letter closed with gratitude on behalf of Mango’s 17,000 employees and echoed a phrase Andic often repeated: “The sky is the limit.”

A Year Defined by Growth and Strategic Momentum

On the leadership front, Mango strengthened its organisation with key appointments, including former H&M CEO Helena Helmersson as an independent director, Eva Gallego as head of womenswear, and Marlies Hersbach as director of online and customer experience. These moves contributed to a strong financial performance, with the company reporting 12 percent growth in the first half of the current financial year and revenues reaching €1.728 billion.

The past year also marked structural changes within the family holding company. Following Isak Andic’s passing, his three children consolidated the family’s business interests under Punta Na Holding, which controls the majority stake in Mango. In June, Jonathan Andic stepped down from his role as global director of Mango Man after 17 years to focus on managing the family’s investment portfolio, sharing governance responsibilities with his sisters Sarah and Judith.

In remembering Isak Andic, Mango is not looking back—it is carrying his vision forward, with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
