Chanel FW26 Show Highlights & Celebs Who Attended ft Becky Armstrong, Tyla, Camila Cabello

Under the grand glass dome of the Grand Palais, Chanel Fall-Winter 2025/26 Ready-to-Wear collection unfolded like a mesmerizing dream. This season, the Chanel Creation Studio, in collaboration with scenographer Willo Perron, transformed the runway into a surreal stage where proportions, illusion, and classic Chanel elements were reimagined in avant-garde fashion.

Distorted Proportions: A New Take on Classics

From the very first look, Chanel set the tone for a collection that celebrated contrast. Cropped tweed jackets in pastel hues paired with elongated trousers created a striking juxtaposition, while classic poplin shirts extended to ankle-length, redefining traditional tailoring. The iconic little black tweed jacket morphed into an elegant coatdress, and capes took on new forms, featuring structured jacket cuffs instead of free-flowing hems.

This interplay of scale and silhouette wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was a statement on the evolving nature of luxury, where innovation meets timeless craftsmanship.

The Bow, The Pearl, The Ribbon: Chanel’s DNA Elevated

While the collection’s structural elements took center stage, Chanel’s signature embellishments—bows, pearls, and ribbons—were amplified in grand proportions. Ribbons adorned collars and cuffs, cascaded down gowns, and even wrapped around quilted jackets and joggers, effortlessly blending haute couture with everyday wear.

Jewelry also played with illusion and scale. A cross-body bag cleverly disguised itself as an oversized pearl necklace, while shoe heels featured sculpted pearls, a nod to Chanel’s love for trompe l’oeil. Rhinestone-encrusted accessories added an extra touch of opulence, bridging the gap between heritage and modernity.

Layering as Optical Illusion

Chanel masterfully used layering to create an illusion of depth and movement. A three-piece grenadine tweed ensemble paired a cropped jacket, wrap skirt, and wide-leg trousers for a dynamic visual effect. A bronze tunic layered over trousers and a skirt brought fresh energy to tailored looks, while a sleeveless gilet over an ivory slit skirt and mini-skirt pushed the boundaries of contemporary styling.

Sheer fabrics introduced further complexity. Delicate black and white tulle capes floated over structured tweed suits, their transparency altering the perception of form. A voluminous white tulle shirt with puffed sleeves softened the edges of a crisp ecru jacket-dress, reinforcing Chanel’s expertise in balancing strength with ethereal elegance.

A Dreamlike Finale

The collection’s dreamy aesthetic culminated in a surreal finale. Chiffon jeans, silk fabrics mimicking tweed, and floating ribbon motifs created an atmosphere of refined fantasy. A black organza hooded parka adorned with cascading bows blurred the line between outerwear and haute couture. Accessories added to the enchantment—sock-ankle boots, sculptural detachable collars, and satin bouillonné details on evening shoes brought poetic luxury to life.

Chanel’s Fall-Winter 2025/26 collection was a harmonious dialogue between tradition and reinvention. With tweed, pearls, bows, and ribbons taking on modern, dramatic forms, Chanel proved once again that fashion is more than clothing—it’s an art form in perpetual evolution. This season, the house reaffirmed its legacy while charting a bold path forward, making luxury feel both nostalgic and entirely new.
