Meja Swimwear Collection at Atlanta Swim Week 2025

Fashion often begins with a dream, but for the founder of MEJA, it began with resilience. A Brooklyn native now based in Atlanta, the designer behind MEJA rose from a place of personal hardship, rebuilding, rebranding, and re-strategizing to carve out a powerful return to the worlds of design and photography. On his 30th birthday, with the encouragement of his late spouse, he turned years of aspiration into reality—and MEJA was born.

At its core, MEJA is about more than clothing. It’s about feeling beautiful, stylish, and confident—whether in underwear, loungewear, swimwear, or streetwear. Crafted with hand-selected luxury fabrics, every piece reflects the designer’s commitment to quality, detail, and an unapologetic sense of self-worth. His ambition? To expand beyond the local fashion scene and cement MEJA as a global phenomenon.

This vision was beautifully translated in his recent “Phases of Summer” collection, which lit up the runway with three distinct palettes. Summer’s Days brought bright, vibrant tones reminiscent of beach outings with family; Summer’s Nights introduced moodier, sexier hues that capture evenings out with friends; while Summer’s After-dark leaned bold and sensual, evoking intimate, late-night rendezvous. Each look was designed not just to be seen but to tell a story—and judging by the audience response, that story resonated deeply.

Versatility also sits at the heart of MEJA’s philosophy. The brand’s swimwear doubles as ready-to-wear, designed for longevity and multiple uses. A women’s swimsuit seamlessly transforms into a chic bodysuit styled with denim and a jacket for brunch or nightlife, while men’s beach pants transition from poolside lounging to casual shopping trips. For MEJA, sustainability isn’t only about materials—it’s about creating garments that adapt to every facet of life.

Inclusivity remains another cornerstone. MEJA doesn’t cater to one type of body, lifestyle, or identity—it welcomes all. The brand has already been embraced by a diverse clientele, proving its mission to make every person feel amazing in its pieces is more than just words—it’s a reality being lived on the runway and in everyday life.

Looking ahead, MEJA’s multi-functional approach continues to expand across underwear, loungewear, swimwear, and streetwear. Beyond the design studio, the founder integrates MEJA into his work as both a photographer and stylist, ensuring the brand is showcased not only on the runway but in creative shoots and client styling. For him, MEJA is not just a label—it’s a lifestyle, and one that is only just beginning to realize its full potential.

As fashion evolves toward inclusivity, versatility, and meaningful storytelling, MEJA stands tall as a brand born from resilience and crafted for the global stage.
