MSG: The Messenger of God faking box office collections??
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan’s controversial movie MSG – The Messenger of God has apparently being said to have made Rs 100 crore at the box office in India. The controversial Baba or Saint has made a smashing Bollywood debut, or so it is being projected by his followers!
Recently,TOI had reported taht the movies made over 500 Cr, which really seemed extremely ‘unbelievable’ as if it was so, the movie would have made more than Amir Khan’s PK and Dhoom 3 !!!
The Indian Express had earlier also reported that MSG: The Messenger collected more than Rs 89.29 crore in its first six days at the box office. But now official statements without substantial box office figures are being sent out claiming that MSG has grossed Rs 100 crore.
That seems unlikely seeing the poor response of the crowd in the theaters.
As per some sources, the movie has made a bit over 2.5 cr after being released across 2500 screens in the country and over 300 abroad.
Though it cannot be doubted the huge followers of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan’s are there, and it will not be too far fetched to state that the movie has indeed made over 100 cr, but it still remains to be seen what the actual truth is.
