Label Dimple Kapoor was born from this dream, with Maella as its baby brand, focusing on inclusivity and individuality. The inspiration behind Maella comes from the eagle—a creature that symbolizes vision, fearlessness, and soaring above the ordinary. These traits are woven into every piece we create.

With Maella, I wanted to shatter stereotypes and redefine beauty standards. We don’t see height, size, or color—we see queens. Through our designs, we aim to empower women, celebrate diversity, and inspire confidence in every step they take.

Our upcoming collection, Modern Maharani, is a celebration of Indian culture reimagined through a contemporary lens. It embodies the fusion of heritage and modernity, paying tribute to the grace, strength, and beauty of women.

This collection uses luxurious imported satin as the base fabric, featuring intricate 3D embroidery with floral motifs. The trend we embraced here is versatility—each piece is designed to be styled in multiple ways, making it perfect for festive and wedding wear. The idea is to make every woman feel regal yet effortlessly modern, showcasing how tradition can evolve without losing its essence.

What is your take on world fashion? Which are your favorite fashion trends from across the globe?

Fashion is a universal language—a medium to express individuality, culture, and creativity. I admire how world fashion has embraced diversity and storytelling, moving towards inclusivity and sustainability.

One of my favorite global trends is the rise of fusion fashion, where designers mix traditional aesthetics with modern elements to create something truly unique. I’m also inspired by the global shift towards mindful fashion—designs that prioritize craftsmanship, sustainability, and the story behind the garment.
