Awadhi Food Fest at Piccadily- A Culinary Journey through the Royal Cuisine of Awadh
Awadhi cuisine boasts a wide array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. One of the most iconic dishes is the “Galouti Kebab,” a melt-in-your-mouth kebab made with minced meat and a blend of spices. The “Nihari,” a slow-cooked meat stew, is another popular delicacy that is often enjoyed with “sheermal,” a saffron-flavored bread. The “Biryani,” a fragrant rice dish layered with marinated meat, is a culinary masterpiece in itself. The “Korma,” a creamy and aromatic meat or vegetable curry, showcases the finesse of Awadhi cooking with its rich flavors and velvety texture.
Piccadily recently held Awadhi Food Fest that showcases some of the finest Awadhi cuisines and also the some new dishes like ‘ The Seafood Biriyani’ that are sure to interest people.
Awadhi cuisine is also known for its wide range of vegetarian dishes that cater to different palates. The “Dum Aloo,” a dish of baby potatoes cooked in a rich tomato and yogurt gravy, is a vegetarian favorite. “Paneer Pasanda,” cottage cheese stuffed with nuts and cooked in a creamy sauce, is another delightful creation. In desserts, Piccadily offers “Imarti Rabdi,” a dessert loved by the lucknowites as well as “Mango Firni”which is a pudding with an extremely balanced taste.
