Versace Unveils First La Vacanza Campaign Under New Creative Director Dario Vitale
Versace has officially launched its La Vacanza 2025 campaign — the first major creative unveiling since Dario Vitale was appointed Creative Director in March. This debut marks a new chapter for the iconic Italian fashion house, as the brand navigates both a leadership transition and a broader strategic evolution under the Prada Group umbrella.
With Donatella Versace stepping down earlier this year, all eyes are on the brand’s next move. Vitale’s first campaign arrives at a pivotal moment, serving as a visual manifesto of the house’s renewed direction. Shot by acclaimed photographer Zoë Ghertner, the campaign captures a seamless transition between the serenity of the seaside and the sophistication of the city — a duality central to the La Vacanza collection.

Imagery set against sun-drenched beaches pays tribute to Versace’s classical heritage, referencing archaeological elements that also influence the Versace Home line. Meanwhile, the indoor scenes evoke the allure of luxe poolside living and modern spatial design, merging fashion and lifestyle in signature Versace style.
The La Vacanza 2025 collection dives deep into maritime inspiration, with sea-centric motifs that double as symbols of the house’s growing environmental commitment. As part of its pledge to celebrate and protect biodiversity, Versace has partnered with Coral Gardeners — a non-profit dedicated to reef restoration — and has adopted 9,000 coral fragments in French Polynesia.
The collection spans both womenswear and menswear, reflecting a lifestyle that floats effortlessly between land and sea. Daywear and evening pieces blend coastal codes with refined tailoring, and are adorned with refreshed versions of the beloved Trésors de la Mer motif — a signature element reimagined for the modern wardrobe.
“Versace was born from the ocean,” the brand stated. “The Mediterranean mythology at the heart of the House pervades its mentality from the beach to the city.” With La Vacanza 2025, Versace reaffirms its deep-rooted identity while signaling a bold, sustainable future under Vitale’s creative vision.
