Mumbai: Getting a warm welcome at the box-office on the Independence Day, Ajay Devgan starrer Singham Returns has crossed Rs. 50 crore mark on Day 2 i.e. on Saturday.

As it was estimated that the film’s business will see a drop on the second day of the release which is a semi-working day, the film collected around Rs. 21 crore on its first Saturday which takes its total collection to Rs 52-53 crore at the domestic box office.

The film remained popular in the theaters of Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Rajasthan. The minor drop was expected in film’s business as August 15 was an Independence Day holiday.

Very likely as Salman Khan-starrer ‘Kick’, which released this Eid, Singham Returns has also crossed Rs. 580 crore mark in two days of its release and the films pandits are now expecting that it can become Ajay Devgn’s biggest grosser ever.

It is also being expected that the film’s collection will see a boost today on Sunday.
