Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2025 Show: A Hamptons Dream in the City
Ralph Lauren hosted an intimate gathering of around 250 guests in Watermill, one of the most exclusive spots in the Hamptons. The evening kicked off with cocktails, as movie stars posed beside Lauren’s collection of vintage cars—pristine 50s and 60s Jaguars, Mercedes, and Ferraris. Among the star-studded crowd were Naomi Watts, Tom Hiddleston, Jude Law, Colman Domingo, Laura Derby, Rufus Wainwright, Usher, and H.E.R., all striking poses in front of beautifully restored barns and stables.
The evening transitioned into a show that, while meandering at times, offered several stunning moments. Set in a crisp white space with a single wall adorned with frescos of galloping horses, the collection reached its peak with the legendary Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington closing the show. They dazzled in chic ecru and white outfits, featuring long lacy or knitted skirts paired with simple T-shirts or sophisticated hacking jackets—both looks absolutely flawless.
Staying true to his signature style, but with a dash of wit and flair, Ralph presented a stellar lineup. There were slinky screen goddess dresses in micro sequins and pearly mesh, sharp linen safari jackets worn over fringed western pants, and sleek chalk-stripe suits designed for women. While Yves Saint Laurent may have empowered women through tuxedos, Ralph gave them intellectual swagger through impeccably tailored blazers.
Before “inclusivity” became a buzzword in fashion, Ralph was already championing diversity. The show’s RL segment highlighted this, featuring a lineup of vibrant young Black models with funky afros, alongside BIPOC Latin dandies ranging from 4 to 40 years old. Nearly twenty children graced the runway, showcasing the breadth of his commitment to inclusion.
No one obsesses over the details quite like Ralph Lauren. The designer executed every aspect with precision, from stamping the butter dishes with Polo Bar to shaping the cocktail stirrers like miniature polo mallets. Even his staff, decked out in varying shades of cream and white, looked impeccable—arguably the most stylish crew in fashion this year.
And while the collection itself leaned classic, the location was anything but. The event was held at Khalily Stables, a stunning equestrian paradise that Ralph acquired two years ago for a cool $16 million—an ideal setting for a fashion dreamscape.
