FH Review: P.M. Modi’s visit to United States. Hopes for “Make In India” on high.
“The United State is India’s natural global partner.India and US embody the enduring and universal relevance of their shared values” these were the thought quoted by Indian Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi in his article published in Wall Street journal.Prime Minister is on his 5 days to United States from Sept 25 to Sept 30.He will be spending 3 days in New York and the other 2 days in Washington D.C.
On Sept 26 Prime minister will reach New York and meet Nobel prize winner Harold Eliot Varmus,director of the National Cancer Institute.
On Sept 27 visit to Ground Zero and 9/11 memorial, he will also be participating in the General Debate of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly-on the theme “Delivering on and implementing a Transformative Post-2015 Development Agenda”,meet former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg,address Global Citizen Festival at Central Park.He will also meet governors of New York,South Carolina and Martin O’Malley.
On Sept 28 Prime Minister will address Indo-American community at the Madison Square Gardern in midtown Manhattan,meet distinguished personnel’s of Indian and US Jewish community after which he will be attending a dinner reception hosted by Indian Ambassador to US Mr.S.A. Jaishankar at ‘Taj Pierre’.
On Sep 29 after having breakfast with CEOs of top 11 US companies which includes Boeing,Pepsico,General Electric,Google,Goldman Sachs,he will have a meet with Clintons.After addressing Council on Foreign Relations he will be leaving for Washington.
Soon after reaching Washington in the afternoon he will check into Blair House located across the street from White House,and will have private dinner with the US President Barrack Obama at the White House.
On Sept 30 PM Modi will visit Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr.memorial and Gandhi statue.After which he will be having a formal summit meeting with Barack Obama.P.M Modi will be the first international leader to meet the President twice during his visit.He will be having lunch with Joe Biden and John Kerry at the State Department.He will be attending a meeting with Congressional leaders.He will address US-India Business Council at the end of his trip and will leave for India.
