Carolina Herrera to Premiere Spring/Summer 2026 Collection in Madrid
In a landmark move for the iconic fashion house, Carolina Herrera will debut its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in Madrid on September 18, marking the first time the brand will unveil a main seasonal line outside of New York Fashion Week. Owned by Spanish luxury powerhouse Puig, the brand announced this decision as a tribute to the vibrant cultural heritage of Spain’s capital.
This upcoming show will be Carolina Herrera’s third international runway event, following acclaimed Resort presentations in Rio de Janeiro (2024) and Mexico City (2025). However, unlike those resort shows, the Madrid showcase will spotlight the label’s flagship collection, signaling a bold evolution in its global runway strategy.

“This is a celebration of the city of Madrid—its creativity, its beauty, and its joy,” said Wes Gordon, Creative Director of Carolina Herrera. “Though we remain deeply rooted in New York, this felt like the right time to take a main collection abroad.”
While the exact location of the runway show remains under wraps, Gordon teased an “iconically Madrilenian” venue, hinting at a setting steeped in cultural significance. “Madrid has long been one of my favorite cities. It’s bursting with artistic energy and filled with creatives who redefine beauty on their own terms,” he shared.
In honor of its American heritage, Carolina Herrera will also host an exclusive client event in the United States prior to the Madrid debut.
This move highlights the brand’s deepening relationship with the Spanish fashion scene. In recent years, Gordon has served as a judge for Vogue Spain’s Fashion Fund, and the label partnered with Madrid’s Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum for the celebrated “Maestras” exhibition, spotlighting pioneering female artists like Artemisia Gentileschi and Sonia Delaunay.
Continuing its tradition of honoring local talent, the Spring/Summer 2026 collection will feature collaborations with Spanish artisans and creatives, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design. “This collection is rooted in storytelling—sharing the voices of those who shape this city from its folklore to its future,” said Gordon.
Carolina Herrera’s decision mirrors a growing trend among luxury houses selecting Spain as a fashion destination. Notably, Dior staged its 2023 Cruise collection in Seville, and Louis Vuitton unveiled its Cruise 2024 line at Barcelona’s Park Güell, cementing Spain’s rising influence in the global fashion calendar.
With its Madrid debut, Carolina Herrera is not only making history—it’s redefining where luxury lives.
