K-pop sensation aespa has been recognized as one of the most impactful Asian Pacific figures of 2025, securing a coveted spot on Gold House’s prestigious A100 List. The annual list, unveiled on May 1 to mark the start of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, celebrates 100 Asian Pacific leaders who have significantly shaped culture and society over the past year. aespa’s inclusion as a “New Gold” honoree highlights their rising global influence and contributions to the entertainment industry.

Gold House, a leading cultural ecosystem championing Asian Pacific creatives and communities, announced the 2025 A100 List, which spans industries including entertainment, technology, sports, and social impact. Selected through a rigorous process involving votes from top Asian Pacific organizations, creative and business leaders, and multicultural allies, aespa was recognized for their groundbreaking achievements in music and their role in redefining K-pop’s global reach.
Comprising members Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning, aespa has solidified their status as a fourth-generation K-pop powerhouse since their debut in 2020 with the hit single “Black Mamba,” which surpassed 100 million views on YouTube in record time. Their debut EP, Savage, and subsequent releases like “Next Level” and “Girls” have garnered international acclaim, blending innovative concepts with cutting-edge technology, such as their virtual avatar counterparts in the “æ” universe.
In 2025, aespa’s influence has reached new heights. Their inclusion on the A100 List follows a string of accolades, including being named Billboard’s Women in Music Group of the Year and Forbes Korea’s Most Powerful Group of 2025. Posts on X celebrated the group’s achievement, with fans noting their ability to “carry global fame” despite not having a comeback this year, underscoring their cultural impact.

Chu, actors Michelle Yeoh and Bowen Yang, and technology leaders like Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind. aespa joins other “New Gold” honorees, a category recognizing rising leaders poised to redefine the Asian Pacific community, such as fashion designer Sohee Park and climate activist Sophia Kianni.
